Prologue

Major events had taken place in the recent years of the Quadrants, an island continent that is divided up into sections with different elements. Quadrant One being a large and vast desert. Quadrant Two is a lush forest. Quadrant Three is a mountainous area with snow in most of it. Quadrant Four, is a vibrant jungle. Quadrant Five is a section of fire with a large volcano and lava river. In the center of all of them is the Palace Area where the Sorcerer resides with his spiritual defenses.

The last hundred years haven't been kind to the Quadrants as their protector and caregiver was changed for the worse. The Sorcerer, known as Majz Ical, had fallen to corruption to the power of souls at his grasp with the vortex restarted. The Vortex of Souls fed off the souls of the dead and made them accessible to the sorcerer's who could harness their power. Majz Ical was once a sorcerer who couldn't keep his cool when faced with a large amount of power and eventually succumbed to wanting more of it.

A prophecy had been foretold in the different Quadrants and while the details of the people involved changed titles from quadrant to quadrant, the story remained the same. Whether they were Children of Light, Element Bearers, or just The Chosen; they were destined to come together and defeat the Sorcerer.

The prophecy only foretold of The Chosen. Darkness from a man out of time from Quadrant One. A man from another realm. An Elven Princess from Quadrant Two. Two children with opposite powers from Quadrant Three. The rebirth of Chronomancy would return and this person would be the one to hold them all together. Together they would defeat the plague that is the Sorcerer.

This prophecy kept the Sorcerer concerned but not caring. His power was greater than anyone else's was and could be. All he had to do was keep instigating conflicts around the Quadrants to keep pulling power into himself. From there he set out to cause problems for everyone that he could. He manipulated the dragons in Quadrant One to attack the towns as well as sent his own army out to do so. Quadrant Two was allowed to be infiltrated by a rogue elf prince vying for the power of his family. Quadrant Three was eventually set into war. Quadrant Four stayed relatively peaceful for the most part but the Sorcerer hid some power within its trees. Quadrant Five was the place no one could do anything about with a beast hidden somewhere in its volcano. The inhabitants stayed hidden underground.

Years later, the prophecy finally began. A flash of light appeared in Quadrant One..and pointed at nothing. Another flash years after that in Quadrant Three, the one the rebirth of Chronomancy. Two flashes in close timing to each other; one in Quadrant Two, The Princess and one in Quadrant Three. Another flash in Quadrant One marking a cave with no one around. The prophecy was set in motion fully. 

With the information that it was beginning, the Sorcerer waited until they were teenagers before setting his plans in motion. The first place he started was Quadrant Three by causing problems within one clan and causing a war. The first of The Chosen began training as did the second. At eighteen, the first set out into the war. Later the second joined in as well. Together they would unlock their elemental powers of fire and ice. Around the same time, the Princess was beginning her trials as well as her exiled uncle had returned for his revenge against the family. The pyromancer and cryomancer split ways after an altercation in their hometown with the pyromancer being exiled.

Months had passed and things had become generally peaceful again. The pyromancer made a home in a cave for the time being when he picked up on an approaching force, a force led by the cryomancer. A fight broke out with the cryomancer losing and pyromancer fleeing before passing out in the mud. From there, he was rescued by the Princess. Together, they began their journey towards Quadrant One. During the travel towards Quadrant One, a portal of crimson and gold opens with a man coming through into the desert, the man from another realm. The cryomancer was also on his way to Quadrant One and he wasn't alone.
